January Favorites

Samstag, 31. Januar 2015
Time flies so fast! I hope you all managed to get through the fist month of 2015 and everything is going well. It’s already been a month since X-mas and my holidays (uni) are almost over (sad). But this are my favorite make up bits that I used all the time.

First I loved this Max Factor Face Finity Primer from the drugstore. It evens out the complexion and makes foundation last longer. I used it on an everyday basis.

I also loved the Dior Star Foundation (shade: Nr. 021 Linen) for almost 2 months now. It’s a medium to full coverage foundation that leaves a glowy and flawless finish. I usally just aply one thin layer with a buffing brush and really blend it in. Amazing longevity and the packaging is so luxe.

On top of the foundation I liked to use the Make Up For Ever Full Coverage Concealer (shade: Nr. 6 Ivory) – longest name ever. You only need a tiny bit, because it’s very pigmented, but it blends in beautifully. It doesn’t creases and it’s very longlasting. I have a problem i fit runs out because you can’t get it anywhere in Germany. To highlight under the eyes and to hide dark circles I used the pigmented True Match - le correcteur concealer from L’Oréal (shade: Nr. 02 vanilla).

To set everything in place and to keep the oil at bae I liked to use the MAC Studio Fix Powder (shade: NW 25). It’s gives you an extra layer of coverage and keeps the foundation and the oil all day long. But the most imporant thing is that it’s not cakey even if you reapply it.

I don’t have cheekbones if i don’t use a bronzer. I liked this one from the drugstore the L’Oréal  (shade: Nr. 101 Blonde Harmony). The color is not to dark so it’s perfect for warming up the complexion on a everyday basis. I apply it in an E-shape and down my nose.

To make my cheeks pop and to give myself a little color I loved the limited edition Lightness Of Being Blush from MAC (shade: Please yourself). I love rosy cheeks and the formula is so creamy and easy to blend.

I alaso applyed this limited edition highlighter from the Lightness of Being Collection from MAC (shade: Lightscapade) on top of my cheekbones and down the nose. It looks like you’re lit from within and it also give you a healthy glow.

For the eyes I used the limited edition eyeshadows from the Lightness of Being Collection from MAC (shades: Natural Vigor, Force of Nature). On top I used the L’Oréal Super Liner and the Lash Sensational Mascara from Maybellline. To set my brows in place I used the L’Oréal Brow Artist. It gives a little bit of color and it also makes your brows look polished and not flying around.

Lastly I used the NARS Audacios Lipstick (shade: Grace) on my lips. It’s a warm and vibrant pink that makes you look awake and put together. It lasts all day long and it’s not drying. To set everything in place I use the Urban Decay all nighter.

Top 5: Drugstore Eyeliner

Freitag, 30. Januar 2015
I used to hate wearing liquid eyeliner, because I NEVER got it right – the lines weren’t symetric then I wanted to get it right and smeared it everywhere and in the end it just looked awefull. But I saw how much of a diffrence it makes – it opens your eyes, makes you look awake and glamorous. Ever since I’ve been practicing and with a lot of practice you learn to do the perfect flick. While I’ve been practicing I found the perfect eyeliner.

L’Oréal Super Liner Super Precision

In my opinion L’Oréal do the best eyeliner at the drugstore! I have very sensitive eyes and I think I’m alergic to most of them. This one is a felt tip liner and it’s so easy to do an even line and flick with little fine strokes. I really like that it’s very wet and liquidy at the beginning, but once it sets it stays there all day long. I also have hooded eyes and I don’t get that gross second line on my browbone. Favorite liquid eyeliner!

L’Oréal Super Liner blackbuster

I think this one is not for beginners because the felt tip is very thick and then you get it everywhere. So it’s definitely for people who have practice and for those who like a dramatic look. I like that you can get a fine precise line or a very bold cat flick.

L’Oréal Super Liner Perfect Slim

This one is perfect for an everyday basis if you don’t want your eyeliner to be too in your face. You don’t have to do a flick you can just line your upper lash line and you’re good to go. Perfect for a fine and casual look.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

This eyeliner is similar to the L’Oréal Super Liner Super Precision. But the formula is not as longlasting than the L’Oréal one.

Maybelline LastingDrama Black Shock 36h Gel Liner

DUPE-ALERT!!!!! This eyeliner is a dupe fort he Benefit Push Up Liner! But obviously it’s more affordable. I really like the formula, because it’s very black and longlasting. It doesn’t creases and it’s very easy to apply, because it’s not in a pot and you don’t need a brush.
