Maybelline Dream Wonder Nude Review

I’m not a really big fan of Maybelline foundations (but I love the concealers). I didn’t like any foundations from the „Dream-range“ in the past, but now they brought out the „Dream Wonder Nude“. I really like thin bases, because they look like skin and they are not cakey. But I also want good coverage.

First, you have to shake it before you use it, because the formula is very liquidy and it’s very pigmented. So you really need just a few drops for a medium coverage, but you can build it up to get full coverage. I really like that you don’t need as much product and it’s really easy to blend. It gives almost like a satin finish – it’s not drying but it’s not oily - and it makes your skin look flawless. The longevity is also really good for a drugstore foundation. 

The thing that I don’t like about it is the applicator, because it’s not very hygienic and not very easy to apply the foundation. The glas bottle is also not very practical for traveling and the shade-range is very small with only 5 different shades. 

It really is a wonder! Will you try it?

Long Lasting Makeup

I'm not going to many parties anymore, but I like my makeup to last all day long. Especially if I have a long day at uni or if I stay up past 10pm on the odd occasion on weekends. All products are from Urban Decay, because the seem to be the best at long lasting makeup. 

Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray – Cooling And Hydrating 

The last step of my makeup routine is a setting spray. It’s like a hairspray for your face, it sets and holds the makeup. I apply it after I’m done with my makeup or after the step that I want to last extra long like the base. Usually I like to spray 4 or 5 sprays all over my face to be sure that it covers everything. Then I wait a few seconds until it’s all dry. Because it's so cold my skin is very dry at the moment, so this setting spray is good for hydrating the skin. 

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – Long-Lasting

So if I go to a party or stay up really late at the weekend, I prefer this one, because I think it makes the makeup last even longer as the cooling and hydrating one. So it’s perfect for everyday or for a night out. My face absorbs all the makeup after a few hours and always gets very sweaty when it's hot or if I have to walk a lot, so this setting spray prevents the makeup from getting patchy or fading.

Before I apply eyeshadow or eyeliner I like to use this eyeshadow primer. The colors of the eyeshadow will be more vibrant and won’t crease all day long. Even the eyeliner seems to stay put. This is an essential step if you have oily eyelids or you want your eye-makeup last a long time. You only need to blend a pea size blop of the primer for the hole lid and you also can apply it under the eyes.

New (life-changing) Skincare – REN Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel

I have acne prone – combination – dehydrated – sensitive skin (can’t get any worse I have it all) and my complexion always has blemishes. So I’m obsessed with my skincare routine and I don’t ever miss a step. Since I’m using the Clarins Lotus Oil (for over one year) I don’t have those really bad, red, angry and deep under the skin horrible monsters anymore. Recently I ran out of my Clarins Cleanser and I decided to try a new one. I’ve heared so many good things about Ren skincare so I chose the Ren Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel. And after using it for 2 weeks my skin is cleared up and never looked so good before.

This cleanser is for normal to blemish prone skin and it comes in a plastic bottle, which is perfect for traveling and it also has a pump. The formula is a very liquidy gel and one pump is perfect for the whole face and neck. I like to massage it in for a few minutes and I also let it sit on my face (until I wash my teeth) before rinsing it off. It really cleanses, smooths, refines, but it also calms the skin. The rose centifolia is supposed to be firming and anti-inflammatory. It really does what it says on the tin – it calms, doensn’t drys out and makes the skin look radiant. Plus it’s without parabens, sulfates, phthalates and it smells like a rose garden in the summer. My new favorite and life-changing cleanser – you have to try it out!

CHANEL - Jardin de Chanel Blush Camélia Rosé

Chanel always has one of the most exciting spring collections. This year it’s called the Rêvier Parisienne collection. The one thing that caught my eyes from this collection is the Jardin de Chanel Blush Camélia Rosé.

First, look at the beautiful embossed flowers. This is definetly something for any makeup-hoarder! The shade is a mix of light pink with dark rose and the formula is matte, but it really perks up the cheeks and makes you look so luminous. 
This blush a perfect subtle daily blusher for every makeup look. It’s a little bit smaller than the other Chanel blushers, but it’s a powder blush with amazing pigmentation. You should apply it with a blush brush and I think it’s perfect for light to medium skin color. 
The packaging is so luxe as always and it’s also very handy with the little brush to retouch if you’re on the go.

Sadly it’s limited edition but you still can still get it. Will you try it?

L'oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oils Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m always so thrilled to try new, affordable haircare products from the drugstore and I usually love the products from L’oreal. So this new oil range is for very dry hair and it's supposed to be very nourishing, soothing and it claims not to leave you hair greasy.

There are 2 different shampoos in the 'Elvive Extraordinary Oils' range - one is for 'dry to rough hair' and one is for 'very dry hair'. Because of the cold season I have very dry hair chose the one for very dry hair. 

Well I’ve used this two products a few times and I’m so disappointed. I thought that it wouldn’t make my hair look or feel greasy. After I’ve used the shampoo with the conditioner my hair – especially the roots - looked even greasier - almost like I haven’t washed my hair for a week. I've been in a rush and had to put my hair up in a ponytail, otherwise it would've been very embarrassing. The formula is very creamy and heavy and it weights the hair down. I would’t recommend this range, but I love the 'Elvive Fibralogy Thickening' range.

What's New At The Drugstore + Reviews

First, I have to apologize for not uploading any blog posts! I've had a very bad cold and the uni started again so I've been really busy. But now I'll post at least five times a week, so don't forget to check out my blog :). 

You know I have to try every new product at the drugstore and I'm always on the hunt for highend dupes. 

Foto 1: L’oréal Indefectible 24 h-Matte Foundation (shade: Nr. 12 Natural Beige)

I like to apply this foundation with a buffing brush and you only need a light layer to get a good amount of coverage, but you can build it up to achieve full coverage. It applys very nicely, it doesn’t looks cakey even though it has a matte finish and the longevity is really good. I have combination skin with a few dry patches and it’s a little bit drying after a few hours, so the pores are more visible. Well I think it’s not the right foundation if you have dry skin.

Foto 2: L’oreal Powder Eyeliner Pen (shade: Nr. 102 Brown Smoke)

I've never seen something similar to this powder eyeliner pen. You take the pen out and it litterally springs out. It has a pointed sponge applicator with product on it and if you want more product you have to dip it into the lid. It's also perfect if you’re looking for a smokey eye on the go. Just apply it on the lids and blend it out. It's easy to use but it needs a little bit more blending.
